7 July 2010

Diegem, 7 July 2010 – Deloitte is organizing the eleventh edition of the Deloitte Technology Fast50, an annual election of the 50 fastest-growing companies in the technology industry in Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg. Companies that want to participate can register until August 1st. At the end of September 2010, the nominated companies will be announced; the winner will be revealed on October 7th. For last year jubilee's edition, Belgian companies were invited to take part in the classification, which appeared to be an immediate success: the Belgian company Netlog (on-line community website) finished in first place.

With its Fast50 initiative, Deloitte aims to promote and support the technology sector and other segments of that market in the Benelux countries. The Technology Fast50 election focuses on growth, technological innovation, drive, courage and vision.

Dirk Clarysse, Fast 50 Leader and Partner at Deloitte Belgium: "We are seeing strong growth within the Internet companies. In times of crisis, where the transition from old to new business models takes place, achieving growth requires a dynamic approach and creativity. New ideas are developed and processes are being improved; and this particular kind of company is very flexible and is doing just that".

The election can be divided into different categories

Nominated companies for the Deloitte Technology Fast50 Benelux automatically enter the Deloitte Technology Fast500 EMEA: an election with around 25 participating countries from Europe, the Middle East and Africa. More information on the Fast50 initiative can be found on www.fast50.be.
