Deloitte Belgium reports 6% increase in net revenues and will hire 575 new employees

Globally, Deloitte marks its strongest revenue increase since 2008

Diegem, 28 September 2012 – Deloitte Belgium, the country's largest professional services provider, announced its financial results for the fiscal year ending 31 May 2012 (FY12). The firm reported record net revenues of € 334 million, a 6% increase compared to the previous year. Its previous record was registered in FY09, with € 317 million in net revenues. Despite the difficult economic climate, Deloitte Belgium grew significantly in each of its business areas. Attraction and retention of talent remains a key priority. This year's intake of 300 junior employees comes on board during the months of September and October. Deloitte Belgium also plans to recruit an additional 275 experienced profiles in 2013. At global level, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) reported aggregate member firm revenues of US$ 31.3 billion for FY12 marking the network's highest revenue ever and the strongest revenue increase (8.6%) since 2008.

Net revenues up by 6%: strong growth across the business

Deloitte's final FY12 results of € 334 million represent a 6% growth on Deloitte's FY11 net revenues.

"We continue to perform well despite the economic uncertainty, and have just closed another successful year. All of our businesses achieved growth for the second year running. We continued to see strong demand for advisory work in areas as varied as data & risk management, valuations, due diligence, global tax compliance and financial resources outsourcing" says Rik Vanpeteghem, CEO of Deloitte Belgium.

"For FY13, we aim to achieve a growth rate of 9%, from € 334 million to € 363 million. This growth rate is boosted by the integration of acquisitions in spring 2012 that strengthened our offerings in strategic business areas. The integration of Integrated Consultancy Services (ICS) and Equidex into our Deloitte Fiduciaire business strengthens Deloitte's presence in the Brussels region and Liege, while the integration of Numius, specialists in business analytics solutions, into Deloitte Consulting's Information Management service line expands our business intelligence and analytics expertise."

Talent is the key to success: recruitment of 575 new employees in 2013

Attraction and retention of talented people remains a key priority in the next financial year. This year's intake of 300 junior employees comes on board during the months of September and October. Deloitte Belgium also plans to recruit an additional 275 experienced profiles in 2013.

At global level, the revenues of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) amounted to US$ 31.3 billion in FY12 – an 8.6% increase – marking the network's highest revenue ever and the strongest revenue increase since 2008.

In FY12, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and its member firms hired 51,400 professionals; its total workforce now exceeds 195,000 professionals worldwide and the organisation is well on its way to achieving its growth goal of 250,000 professionals by FY2015.
